Black Friday: accomplished!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but it was actually sort of fun. No one got trampled, I didn't have any bitchy customers (just a few impatient ones), and I kicked ass and took names. Basically. At the end of my shift, two of my managers were like, "Ok, thank you for being AWESOME today." They were seriously impressed. I'm not sure what I was doing, but customers were taking me up on all of our offers and everything. My sales goal for the day was $360 worth of Black Tie Protection programs sold -- I sold $520. And I got 40 people signed up for our rewards card (mostly by not giving them a choice about it, lolz).
I still had to be like "aaah help me" a few times; mostly when items were supposed to be on sale but didn't ring up as such. But since the ops managers were spending the whole day at the front lanes for the very purpose of helping out cashiers, it wasn't a big deal.
It was a long day, but I'm reluctant to complain since Corynn was working 12 hours and my manager was working 18. 10 doesn't seem too bad in comparison. Still, when I got home I slept for about four hours. Now I'm ignoring the fact that I have to be up at 9:30 to work again.
Current musical obsessions: Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
