A kissing booth. Not exactly her idea of a fundraiser, but it was something the kids were wanted to do, so she went with it. All were willing, all were legal (or close enough), and they seemed like they were having a lot of fun

Sam could barely feel his own lips, let alone think of kissing anyone that wasn't Lana for a LONG time.
He had a few dollars in his pocket. Not nearly as rich as Lana and the "charity donations" were for supplies for a few weeks so he managed to cough up a measly $10 as he got to the table.
"So, i guess this makes you the sugar mama in this relationship, huh?" he asked, looking down at her.
David was leaning forward now, commenting that she should be kissing her customer by now. She just put her hand on his head and pushed him back in his chair again. She was the boss, she could take as long as she wanted.
"Do you know who the Luthors are?"
Most people in the country did, especially if they lived in Kansas, but she didn't expect him to. After all, his job kept him busy with things that had nothing to do with the lives of millionaires.
She bit her lip, trying to think of how to explain this to him in a way that wouldn't take all day. She didn't want to talk about it any more than she had to.
"Like I said...long story...but the gist is...I was with Lex about a year...but I didn't marry him because I wanted to..."
This is where she stopped. She didn't want to explain the rest. It was complicated, not to mention painful, and this was a public place. She would not break down in a public place.

Lana was not amused, and it showed as she looked at him and said the only word he needed to hear.
"Unemployment."
David held up his hands in defeat. He wasn't arguing with that.
She stood and turned her attention back to Sam.
"Guess it does," she said with a small grin.

And be able to drop $60 for a kiss at the drop of a hat...

"Publicly, it was my divorce settlement. In reality? ...I stole it from the bastard."
Okay...so maybe she was a little proud. Not of the stealing, but who she stole from, Lex Luthor. She was trying not to let it show, though.

"I will."
She'd give him the full story, all of it, which is more than anyone but Chloe had ever gotten.
