happy national day!

I forgot all abt national day :'( until i went to pick up groceries and some lunch ytd, and saw TOO MANY children wearing red. happy bday s'pore!

Anw its a week before i get out of s'pore! some of my friends have alr left. At least i'm sticking arnd to celebrate its bday :)

Besides steamboat, sadly, i spent my national day preparing for what i'm gna do when i get out of s'pore, going through travel plans. googling for cheap air tix. And traded away some s'porean money for overseas currencies. and i forgot to wear a red shirt! s'pore can't count on me :(

Despite all this silly things... i still love s'pore and i'm not ashamed to say it! i always wonder why ppl complain abt s'pore, its not cool to complain abt s'pore! haha it rly is one of the best places to LIVE in (but i dunno why anyone wld wna come here for a holiday). Firstly, its how safe it is even in the middle of the night. And the taxis don't cheat you cos they go by the fare. Then its the convenience of everything being everywhere like bus stops and train stations. And we dont have to drive 30 min to find a shopping mall, there's like 4 malls within ten min drive from my ulu house in the heartland. (the transport thing is a big thing after all the trip planning we've been doing; we realise how hard it is to get from one place to another without a car in canada/usa) And food - there's cheap and yummy food arnd. its not a ghost town after 5pm and we can continue to shop and dine till late. Plus our gorgeous airport we actually go to for fun even if we don't have a plane to catch. Also our govt's pretty alright, i mean we get our houses and education and healthcare, that's good nuff for me. Lastly and most imptantly, i can openly believe and worship God in broad daylight without going to jail.

I suppose we shld learn from ppl like my grampa and gramma who get excited seeing lky on tv. Not like young kiddos who blog and bitch abt the paps. negativity is exhausting!
