so here's the new year, finally. so far it's a little clumsy but quite centered, quite sure of itself, and it seems to be sorting itself out quite nicely as it goes. i found in the course of retrospection the new year's resolutions of 2004, which echo this year's quite strangely; so

Furthermore I want you to read Faust by Goethe (it's German, but I really think there is an English translation and even though it's WEIRD because it's Goethe it's worse reading it)...
