I bought a CD today. Two in fact. Then I sat down and listened to it on headphones whilst leafing through the sleeve notes. If I'd written that as some kind of event a few years ago it would seem a little strange, but now it's a pretty strange thing to do, for me at least. It was the Beatles' new thingy, 'Love'. And it's stunning. Seriously, forget about any purist reservations you may have if you're a fan, or any preconceptions you may have about the band if you're not. It's stunning; really really good; just crisp, beautiful music, and well worth buying. The other album is Faithless' new one, so I'll get on to that next.
By the by, does anybody fancy coming along to a climate change debate on Thursday to see David Bellamy get ripped apart for being a
climate change denier (or possibly even help)? It's at the Royal Geographic Society and costs a fiver. Apologies if that sounds as far from your idea of fun as a colonoscopy, but if it is, ah well sod ye.
