Dear Adam,

I understand that things are difficult for you right now, but we've all been right there in the ditch with you at some point during the past month and a half of our lives. Sometimes I can feel the ground giving way beneath me as I lose my footing once again. Now we stand staggered from the depths of the gully right on up to the top of the ridge with fingers outstretched towards you. Do not be alone in this town; we took you in as a roommate not because we needed the rent money, but because we wanted you as a friend. I know it is a difficult situation to come into, but do you realize that I did not know the crew myself until I lived with them a week before we met you? I would not have survived this long in this town without them. Life may be scattered and chaotic living with the 11 of us in such close quarters, but in these walls we are shielded from the winds of Baldy, and together we can make it through. Do not hesitate to drop in at a any time; our door is always unlocked, and my ears are always open. Take care dear, and take consolation in the fact that it was not your fault, you were merely a passenger, and we are still your friends.

Much love,

Janie
