Mid-Life Crisis
For the past month or so I've wanted to listen to nothing but things I loved in high school- PJ Harvey, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins (before Billy shaved his head!), Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, etc etc.
I think I am going through some sort of mid-life crisis or something. I'll be 30 in Feb....
I've been off work for the past two weeks and have to go back tomorrow. I MUST finish these 3 entries for some encyclopedia that I am supposed to be writing and have been putting off for weeks. And I am totally re-doing my class that I teach, I didn't like how it went last semester so much..although I did get good reviews from my students.
For Christmas I got an electric pressure cooker, which is pretty awesome. Also, a beautiful new purple purse that costs more than any purse I have ever owned (my mom got it for me), a necklace with a book charm from John, books, perfume (Lolita Lempicka, which I had been lusting over for months), sweaters, candles, etc etc. My mom and dad really spend too much on us, it makes me feel bad.
I got to spend tons of time with my nieces, which was great. Ava is two...she just started doing the cutest thing, when you tell her you love her, she says "No, I love you more" except its in cute little two-year old speak. Heartbreakingly sweet.
