Terra's
foray into the Ruins had resulted in a strange and potentially useful array of finds arranged about his workspace, awaiting his chance to pick them apart.
First was the veritable mother-lode of Forcemetal that Mega Man had so graciously pointed him towards. There seemed to be a few new subtypes in this deposit, and Terra had borne away as much of the cyst's crystal as he could. He was unlikely to run out of raw samples any time in the near future, and refining should go smoothly from this point ...
And then there were the other subjects, crumpled in a heap in a small and obviously time-space displaced chamber within throwing distance of the cyst.
Despite the advances in technology -- rather as if someone else had already been working on their own iterations -- Terra recognized
certain frames all too well.
Perhaps it was not a coincidence the two finds were so close together.
