Zing met the family
I've really been slacking on updating this...
So March 25th was Bryan and my one month anniversary. He came to Iowa and we went to Des Moines so he could meet my family.
I intended for him to meet my mom, my Aunt Irene, and sisters but he ended up meeting pretty much everyone.
That Friday night he got into town (and brought me this beautiful purple watch as a present). We hung out for a little bit me and him and then ended up driving to CR so he could meet Chelsea and Darrell. I hope he had a good time with them. I know I enjoyed hanging out with them and him.
Saturday we made breakfast and had a late start to the day, but it ended up working out because we made it to Dsm around 4 and headed to my Uncle Juan's for his birthday party. There Bryan meet everyone but Wally and Wally's immediate family. My uncle Walter also didn't make it to the party, because he doesn't like my Uncle's wife. But Bryan was able to meet everyone else and see how we all interact. At one point it reminded me of a scene from "Nothing like the Holidays" which was funny.
After the party we went to Jordan Creek so that he could meet Shyana and it just so happened that Brandon was there too!
After the mall we dropped my aunt and mom home then went to a tattoo shop. I didn't realize getting a seven letter word tattooed on me could cost so much...
When we got back from the tattoo shop my Aunt Irene called and said that my Uncle Walter was awake and that we should come over so he could meet Bryan. It meant a lot to me that my Uncle wanted to meet him, because he usually doesn't like meeting new people. We all sat around and talked for awhile. It was really nice.
I think shortly after that we headed home, but stopped at Lacey's briefly so he could meet her.
Overall, it was a great weekend. I'm really glad he got to meet so many people that are important to me.
