They didn't let me keep my teeth.. :(
got my teeth yanked yesterday... it was awful. not the surgery part, i was unconcious, but i woke up crying from the anesthesia, the pain killers made me sick to my stomach and it just plain ol' HURT.They wouldn't let me keep my teeth because they said it was a "biohazard"-what?! what am i gonna catch from my own teeth?! have gauze packed into my mouth and went about 20 hours without eating which probly didn't help the feeling sick... ugh. wound up vomiting up a lot of blood that i'd swallowed since the surgery, which was one of the most awful experiences of my life. so finally managed to eat some saltines and a pudding cup around 10:30 last night and felt better, the pain killers upset your tummy less when you have some food in it. today i am just a little achey and sluggish, but a million times better than yesterday. teeth hurt but at least i am not sick to my stomach. i am glad you only have to do this once. i am mad they wouldn't let me keep my own teeth. Dion was absolutely wonderful for the whole thing, he brought me ice packs (frozen veggie packs really) and timed my pain meds and pills to make sure i got them on time and generally was super attentive even though it must not have been fun at all.
we watched part of Chris Angel, mindfreak season one... the magic is cool but the guy is a total jackass. i have to say i admire David Blaine a lot more because at least he doesn't come off like a stuck up asshole whenever he talks. this guy lit himself on fire "for his mother's 70th birthday" which was totally assinine, since his mother was really upset about it and crying. what a dick. if you make your mother cry (and not from joy) on her 70th birthday, you DID NOT do it for HER, you selfish prick. still, the magic tricks and illusions are totally fascinating, i just wish the guy would shut up about himself for a few minutes in between. after a while i got tired of him and we watched Venture brothers for the rest of the night (at least till D hadda go to bed, i left it on and fell asleep after a while). I love venture brothers! they rock! i cannot wait till the third season is available on DVD.
anyway, i have like four more days to recover before i have to go back to woek on tuesday, thank god. i think i will clean the house, set up the christmas tree and paint some stuff. maybe watch scrubs.
