Fortune Cookie Says: "Today will be A big day for You"
well, i had the "closing reception" to my Gothic Teaparty Show. a few people came, but mostly i was dressed really nice in a huge ruffly skirt and a black corset just to feel pretty. in a rousing show of apathy none of the people who said they would come showed up, which i found a bit hurtful, but i am getting used to dissappointment. ONE PERSON I INVITED CAME. a very nice guy from B&N, one of the regulars, came by and was a complete darling, he was super nice and chatted with me for 15 minutes and complimented my outfit and stuff. what a doll. otherwise, basically a few friends of Lauren and Erika came in and we played loud music, had mixed drinks with watermelon and ice and raspberry rum and we danced and took pictures. so, it kind of sucked as far as an art show, but it was a really fun time. One guy, Michael, who was there was equipped with proffessional camera equipment and he took photos of all the girls dressed up. Mella and I got to hang out a lot, and I got to see Erika and hang out with her, which is always nice. We all had a little chinese-food picnic on the floor of the gallery. around midnight i took Mella home and came home myself. so i hope i get copies of some of these pictures that were taken, and in the meantime, i am really glad i got to hang out with such a fun group all day. i do feel bad that i missed gramma's 80th birthday dinner, though i bet i had more fun hanging out with friends than sitting awkwardly at a restaraunt with the whole extended family. i should get to see Mom and Dad tomorrow at least. i do kinda wonder if my brother's doing OK, i haven;t heard from him in MONTHS. the big jerk forgot my BDay too. oh well. In other news, i bought the whole Season 2 of VENTURE BROTHERS! while not nearly as good as the first season, i am nonetheless delighted to have it and i watched it all in one sitting. wheee... going to bed now. :)
