RIP
Prof. Ronan, co-prof. of this semester's Physics 8A, committed suicide after lecture on Tuesday. They say he was too stressed, and even said good-bye to his students in lecture. Although he was not my prof. (I have Dalven, the other co-prof. for the course), it's still a little too close to home to seem like just a stranger... I took my midterm last week with his students, and he and my prof. were in close communication since they were teaching the same material. It's just terrible to think about - I didn't believe it when I first heard this morning... :-(
