Various Regions

My cell phone stopped working this past weekend. Over the last couple of days I have been debugging and I think it is finally working again. The first problem I saw was that I only had emergency call functionality, but for some reason when I went to work I would have regular coverage again. When I switched to my old Motorolla phone, it started working again for a while and then I lost all signal there as well. I visited Cingular this morning and found that other people were having the same problem. They gave me a new sim card and everything looked good. We shall see if it stays that way, but apparently there was a problem with one of the towers not letting the POP accounts go when their physical presence moved into another area with a different antenna. It actually would be interesting to follow up with that if not for the fact that I had to take this morning off to take care of it. For a while I thought it was the Sony Ericsson phone I was using so I was carring around 4 cell phones testing in various locations. The fact that I saw the problem on an old Moto phone as well was what really made me decide to go back to Cingurlar.
My cat has recently taken to sleeping next to my head. This is actually not like her. She usually likes to sleep on or next to my legs. She may have figured out that I don't move my head around as much as I do my legs while I sleep. Either that or its just a better way to get me up in the morning. :)
Typically I don't post multimedia stuff here, but in this case I am going to make an exception. It is an interesting version of the parrot sketch by Monty Python. The twist here is that apparently it is done by the Nigerian scammer people, or as far as I know. I think what I like about this is that if you ignore the production quality (which is perfectly excusable for this), I really like it. Their different accents and emotive gestures, obviously quite different from the original British take, give it its own identity even though it really is just a copy. If nothing else, I think that this is a good example that laughter is the shortest distance between two people, if you don't mind me quoting Victor Borge. Enjoy.
