It's the little things

About a couple of months ago I warned C.S.P. management of a drainage problem on my apartment building. All the rain from the roof goes down this gutter into a drainage pipe, but the pipe just seems to overflow and spill over into the walkway making a rather large puddle. Yesterday while it was raining I overheard some maintenance people talking about the problem and all the water as if it was their first time seeing it. Fortunately, I rent from Joe Daley so I can talk to him about this. C.S.P Management just took over maintenance. The problem is actually not even over my apartment, but we shall see what they come up with. I heard them this morning talking about the ceiling in the apartments they were working on and how they were ruined due to water leakage. I will need to be extra careful with noticing little problems around there as I am beginning to doubt their system. Not that the maintenance people are not doing their job, its just that when I reported this, it probably never got transferred to them. Now they have to deal with water damage. It's better to fix the little things when they are little then when they become big problems.
Anyway, no real problems going on. Today is Wednesday, so Pete's tonight. Sword class was great last night. We took a couple of steps backwards and worked on basics. It was rather enjoyable. I like working on the basics mainly because it lets me focus on very specific things and correct little nuances that I may miss when doing something more complicated.
And now, a little quiz type action:

Bold the ones you've eaten. Leave a commentary if you want.

1. Fresh fish - I like fish. It's the only meat I actively eat now.
2. Lobster - Not my favorite because of the expense.
3. Steak - Yes, but I don't eat red meat any more. My stomach can't handle it and often I don't trust the meat I get.
4. Thai food - One of my favorites although I don't get to eat it that often. I particularly like going to Thai Cuisine because they have lots of vegetarian dishes and my friend Jimbo works there.
5. Chinese food
6. Ice cream - I can't eat ice cream that much anymore. The sugar hurts my gums and teeth. I don't really miss it though.
7. Pizza - I find it hard to believe that anyone has not had pizza of some variety. It seems to have permeated every other country I have been too.
8. Crab - Crab is probably my favorite shellfish, but I am wary of where it comes from. I believe the Canadian Snow, Stone, and the Dungeness are still O.K. and are not over fished.
9. Curry - I like spicy foods, so this is one of my favorites. Plus it is a fairly simple food so it does not upset my stomach.
10.Prawns
11. Moreton Bay Bugs -
12. Clam chowder - both varieties.
13. Barbecues - No, I have never eaten a barbecue. However, I have eaten food that has been barbecued. I been to a few Barbecues. I think this needs to be a tad more specific.
14. Pancakes - yes, not my favorite though. I prefer poached eggs and hash browns. Miso soup is good too.
15. Pasta
16. Mussels - Steamed mussels are my favorite
17. Cheesecake - I like it, but again my teeth don't let me eat desserts.
18. Lamb - Yes, but no longer can eat it. I don't miss it though.
19. Cream tea - I am not sure what this is.
20. Alligator - I am kinda interested, but I don't think I will go out of my way to try. It's not a fish, but it is not red meat or poultry. It sounds interesting, but that is about it.
21. Oysters - Yes, and I would like to have more, but I am too worried about all the viruses and crap in them.
22. Kangaroo - I would not mind trying it, but being a piscatarian I won't.
23. Chocolate - This tends to hurt my teeth the most.
24. Sandwiches - PORK CHOP SANDWICHES!!!!!!
25. Greek food - That is a pretty broad category there.
26. Burgers - I have but no more. Veggie burgers are good though.
27. Mexican food - Again, a pretty broad category. Still, I question whether I have ever had authentic Mexican food.
28. Squid - Squid is one of my favorites. Calamari, Sushi, whatever.
29. American diner breakfast - Not very good for a person, but yes, I enjoy going to diners and reading the paper. I miss being able to smoke in diners though.
30. Salmon - The Key of Salmon,...no wait that was Solomon. ;)
31. Venison - It was good, but not remarkable. Again, no more.
32. Guinea pig - Never. I don't think I would bother, unless it was the only food source. Easy to catch I guess, but there is nothing there.
33. Shark - I think I have had it, but not sure. I don't eat it anymore due to conservation concerns.
34. Sushi - I enjoy sushi very much.
35. Paella - no clue.
36. Barramundi - no clue.
37. Reindeer - It's probably just like venison. I am not so enthused.
38. Kebab - They are good, now I eat them with shrimp.
39. Scallops - Not bad.
40. Australian meat pie - Never.
41. Mango - It's O.K. I prefer pomegranate.
42. Durian fruit - Nope
43. Octopus - Yes, its good.
44. Ribs - no longer can eat them. Never really liked them anyway.
45. Roast beef - no more, but don't miss it.
46. Tapas - Not really sure about this but I don't think so.
47. Jerk chicken/pork - What you call me? ;)
48. Haggis - No, but I still want to try despite being a piscatarian.
49. Caviar - It's not my favorite.
50. Cornish pasty - Nope. I really hope they meant Pastry.
