This is pretty amazing. Two pictures taken of the same farm, both in daylight, both on the same camera using no filters or anything. Before and after the cloud of ash passed over.

My little sister is stuck here but she was supposed to go back to Edinburgh for school this morning. My big sister and her family is stuck in Sweden where she was visiting my dad.
Yesterday 16.000 flights were cancelled all over Europe. The airline companies are losing 25 billion dollars a day. Lots of people can't get home to their loved ones or meet important appointments, whether that be personal or business. My sympathies to everyone who's affected by this. I'm already starting to worry about our trip to NY in the middle of May to tell the truth.
Makes you wonder, what if it goes on for weeks, like they think it will? Furthermore, what happens if Katla starts erupting? THAT is the big scary one. It could easily spew ash for a year or more.
Now, my little island and its inhabitants has always had illusions of grandeur, no denying that. Didn't quite think we'd take over the world with a volcano though.
