In which Dean gets sick, really, really sick, and it changes all their lives forever.The boys are five and ten years old and their voices are just amazing. Just everything about the writing is fantastic. Go read. Bring tissue. I don't often cry at fic, don't remember the last time I did, but this one? I was weeping buckets. And still it's not that kind of sad, it's just really touching, heartwarming. Feels very real.
In other news, I am at home with a sick little kid. This morning I asked him if he was sure he was sick or if he just wanted to stay home so he could watch TV because he looked pretty healthy to me even if he was complaining of stomach ache. Since then he's been vomiting pretty much non stop and at one point looked at me, all hurt, "And you thought I was making it up!" Cue guilty mom. (To my defense he had five minutes before wanted to turn on the TV instead of getting ready for school because "I missed it last night!" (He fell asleep before dinner. Which is another thing, we just thought he was hungry because he missed dinner.) Oh well.)
