Rewriting the epilogue to Doors is seriously kicking my ass. So much that last night, after beating that dead horse for about 7 hours, I decided to ice it for now and do a read over instead. Luckily enough my co-worker went out meeting some people for lunch today which means I've been alone here for an hour and a half so I printed the whole thing out (334 pages without the epilogue but I used the printer that prints on both sides so that saved a little) and am going to sit down with a nice red pen and go all bloody massacre on the bastard. Or not. We'll see how it goes.
I did do a quick spell check on the work computer first, seeing as Word on my laptop (or technically the laptop hubby loaned me since my iBook is still being an ass, mostly because I haven't taken it to be looked at yet) doesn't have one. In 344 pages it only found about ten spelling mistakes which I have to admit I feel pretty smug about. Of course there are probably lots of errors spell check doesn't catch, plus grammar errors etc but still. *is smug*
My body has been sending me warning signals about my upcoming period, promising to be just as bad as the last two times. If I get it before the weekend I'm taking a day off. Last time I could hardly walk or even move at all. In my opinion that qualifies as being sick!
