Where I once again show off my ladylike gracefulness
I just slid while walking over the slippery road across the parking lot at work while coming back from lunch, consequently faceplanting on the asphalt, ripping my only wearable pair of trousers, giving myself a huge bruise on the knee and somehow jarring my pelvis so now it hurts down there to walk up stairs. Also hurting my palms but since I just put on gloves I saved them from being ripped up. And somehow despite all this the yogurt I had in my hand landed perfectly, not even spilling a drop. *rolls eyes*
Thankfully there was only one who saw me, some kid having a smoke who hovered nearby, looking concerned but not enough to actually give me a hand as I struggled to get up on the slippery road. Hmph.
This is of course in perfect symmetry with the rest of my day that so far has included a shot in the bottom (B12), a bloodtest drawn from my arm (ow!) and a doctor poking at my infected eye. (Don't ask. It's a very embarrassing story involving an infected scratch in my armpit and my inability to keep my fingers out of places they shouldn't go.) And I still have left to go see the nutritionist at 4 pm. I'm really hoping my medical discount card is valid there because so far today I've had to dish out approx. 7000 ISK for health care and meds (2000 for eyedrops!) and they just sent me a text message telling me it's going to be another 7000 for the nutritionist. *sighs* Hubby is coming with me since 1) he's the cook in the family and does most of the grocery shopping and 2) because I forget everything I've been told the moment I leave the room.
So... is it Friday yet?
