The boy has a sore throat and is looking rather pale and sickly so we're keeping him home today. Which is not good for him obviously but it does give me some time to work on my Big Bang, provided he doesn't want to spend all day watching Disney movies. (Try writing porn with Toy Story blaring in the background, I dare you.)
He just came to me, eyes all huge, and told me, "Did you know H (teacher at his kg) wasn't supposed to work in a kg? She used to be a big troll and then a fairy came and cursed her to be a kg teacher for all eternity! But she used to be a troll and she ate children!"
Me: *trying not to laugh* Really? Well, lucky for you she isn't a troll anymore so she can't eat you.
Boy: *nods solemnly*
*snorts*
I sent the girl off to walk to school and she was sullen and pouting and "I don't want to, it's cold." I told her most kids in the street walk to school and the only reason she doesn't is because I have to drive the boy to kg anyway and it's right beside the school. Ten minutes after I sent her off she comes back, wailing that it's cold and she doesn't want to walk. By then she was too late so I had to leave the five year old sick in his bed to drive her. I was NOT happy. Dammit, she walks home from school three times a week, she can bloody well walk TO school one frigging time. I was only gone five minutes and he lay in his bed reading the whole time but still, he's not supposed to be home alone, especially not when he's sick. *sighs*
