Happy posts 6/8
Thank you, anonymous, for the lovely snowglobe in my userinfo! So pretty. You made me smile all morning. *squishes*
And thank you, all and everyone who left me such lovely comments on my whiny emo post. Usually defriending of people I'm not close to affects me very little but I guess the timing threw me, with them being so many as well, especially since I'm feeling both guilty and failing, not having contributed anything noteworthy to the fandom for so long. But you are way too kind, not only putting up with my whining but cheering me on and cheering me up as well. *squishes you all*
I have to share with you this from today's dinner party at my mother's:
My sister had put up a riddle contest (of which I won, with 7 out of 8 right! \o/) where one of the riddles was about a woman that went up on a hill and found two stones and a carrot and the question was what had happened there. Almost everyone said something akin to 'Felis had been there earlier!' Gave me a wild laughing fit. How well my family knows me. (Not well enough though since for the second year in a row no one gave me the halfnaked firemen calendar! I did get a Porn For Women Fantasy Coupons (You Owe Me 'One shoe shopping trip' etc) though from my little sister but so did all the other married women in my family as well)
Other things:
New duvet, leather mittens and a lovely stone necklace from the inlaws
Credit card holder from my best friend
Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks from my children (I suspect hubby might have given them a hand with that. lol)
Bath towel and Dracula's Heir by Sam Stallfrom mum
And of course Ten Inch Hero from bittersweet_art!
And after Xmas we're going to get me a bigger harddrive for my laptop from hubby. *g*
Then we got some presents together which I'm too lazy to list here. All in all a very good loot this Xmas. *g*
Dinner today at mum's as I have already said and tomorrow at the inlaws. After that we're free until New Year's Eve when we're going to my brother's. But we're thinking of inviting mum and my sis and hubby's parents to dinner some time after the weekend, Monday maybe.
