Anyone have any good remedies for blisters? I have some small ones on my shoulders and they itch like hell, driving me mad.

The little lad went singing again today and of course looked like an angel. A nose-picking, goofy faced angel but still an angel. Then we went to the Xmas village to see the ornament he'd hung up on one of the trees with his kg and were not happy to discover that they had been made out of white clay that had melted away with the rain. Whose stupid idea was that? All the kgs in town go and hang up ornaments there made out of all kinds of stuff like plastic bottles and cut out milk cartons etc so them not having any was so sad.

Then we went and spent 4 hellish hours at the mall looking for shoes for the kids since MiL had given us money for that. Bought winter boots for the boy because he'd grown out of his and ballet Skechers for the girl which she can also use next summer. (And we'd found used leather sandals with heels from the Red Cross store earlier which only cost 500 ISK and looked like new. \o/) So we still have left to get the boy nicer shoes for Xmas. Only problem is, boy shoes are so ugly! The only nice ones we saw made the boy cry because they hurt him. *sighs* Also put in an order for new glasses for him because he needs stronger ones. So 4 hours at the mall and we still haven't bought a single Xmas present.

Took a nap when we got home and am now trying not to scratch my shoulders. I got blisters from the tape holding my shoulders right so I had to pull it off and now my arm hurts. *sighs*

Oh and this conversation from the car:

Little guy: JE (his best friend at kg) has a crush on Grýla (the Santas's very ugly troll mom) but Grýla has a crush on MB's (a boy at kg) dad.
Me: Really? But what about Leppalúði? (Grýla's very ugly and stupid husband)
Little guy: *grins* He has a crush on MB's dad!
The girl: But that means he's gay.
Me: *grinning* So?
The girl: MB's dad can't be gay for Leppalúði! He's too ugly!
Me and hubby: *laughing our heads off*

The funniest thing about this is that MB, the boy at the little guy's kg, comes from this uber religious family. Seriously, I went there to pick up the little guy from a birthday party once and all the Jesus stuff they had on their walls and the books that filled the shelves kinda freaked me out. His dad is very fine and proper and his mom has this superior and disapproving look on her face all the time. *snorts*

Hmm, I need to find and reupload my not-as-naughty xmas icon from last year.

kids, x-mas
