First hauling boxes around, getting everything up and ready. Then selling books to approximately 300 students, the line reaching all across the schoolyard. In the rain. We ran out of books they were so many. (And I made my yearly embarrassing blunder of mistaking a senior for a freshman. Seriously, I doubt he even has pubic hair (although I think he was trying to grow some on his chin), how was I supposed to tell? Bet he cries into his Transformers pillow tonight.)
Didn't get to the inlaws to pick up the kids until 6 and MiL insisted we stayed for dinner. Which was great, I was too tired to make anything myself anyway. Except as usual MiL kept talking to me all the time and considering my brain had shut off the minute I didn't have to ring up any more purchases I really had to work to pay attention to any of it. Brain tired nao.
So now I'm finally home and my back is killing me, my feet hurt and I still have left to put the kids to bed and make everything ready for the girl's first day of school tomorrow. 3rd grade. Yikes!
