Adoption laws in England? Who can access the information? Only the adopted child or the biological parents as well? Help?

ETA. What about school records? Are they public?

Scools records arent public, Im almost quite sure of that
And I think adoption records are accesible to those it concerns
i.e. the kid and the actual parents

Oh gosh, no idea about either of these. I suspect it's all very difficult to get access to any records, whether they're adoption records or school ones.

Not sure where to point you though. Any site ending in gov.uk is a government run website, and there is this:

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/adoptions/

...which might be able to help.
