What program do you people use to takes screencaps from avi files? Hubby says the usual "camera" button in WinDVD doesn't work for some reason.

Anyone?

I import the file into Windows Movie Maker and use that camera button on there.

He says WMM doesn't agree with him but that may just be him and not the program. *g*

He's gonna try it, I think.

If you have adobe photoshop elements, you can import it to the program and do screencaps that way or if you want I can upload a program I got months ago just to caps from SPN for icons. It's called imageGrab30en.

It's easy as hell to use and you can go back and forth without it jumping to the beginning/end like alot of programs do.

That does sound intriguing. Hmmm...

We do have photoshop even if my photoshop skills are about as good as my cooking skills.

If nothing else works maybe I'll give you a holler?

*snuggles*

KMPlayer - it plays EVERYTHING, including DVDs, WMP, AVI, MOV, RP, etc. It rules. And caps all. And is free. .:D

Hey, if you're wanting caps of spn episodes, marishna has them for every episode of season 2 and most of season one. *Tons* of caps, usually broken up into three zipped files.

Otherwise, for other things.....um.
Can't help ya!

Oh, it's not for me. Hubby is trying to cap Muppets I think. Maybe. I have no idea. lol

And yes, she does terrific caps. I've never downloaded the zips though since I don't generally make icons so I don't need that many. I just snag the prettiest of the samples for my screensaver. *g*

Ah ha.
Muppets.

Alice Cooper was on The Muppet Show once. It was neat.

I use BSPlayer, which is free and very easy to use. You can find it over here.

That's the one I use for all of my show caps. The dvd ones I make with Power DVD.
