Drabble: Bittersweet Victory

For tx_cronopio who wanted: Wes/Gunn. Text from Shakespeare, although I'm too lazy to look up the exact quote, Tis a pity to wound a fallen man. I tried to find the exact quote but didn't manage. Not that it really matters. Set shortly after Waiting In The Wings.

Thank you. Poor Wes indeed. He was not destined for happiness, that's for sure.

Glad you liked it, darling. *snuggles*

I was thinking more of a Texas hot chick. You know of anyone? *winks*

Terrific drabble, Felis. The scene is so visual and the tone perfect.

That's wonderful - so typically Wesley too and just the way I think he saw Fred.

That relationship was always doomed one way or the other.

Thank you so much. You write an excellent Wes so I'm very flattered that he rang true to you.

You know, Wes and Fred seemed so perfect for each other (apart from the fact that she's a girl) which should have told us right away that it would never be.

Hmmm, I only have one Wes icon.

Hmmm, I only have one Wes icon.

I like that icon, except that Wesley would never say 'ass.' How about this one?

I know! It really bugs me but I let it be since the rest is so funny.

That one is hilarious. He'd make a kicking James Bond, although more tripping over the ladies than coolly charming them. At least the early Wes. lol
