(no subject)

The last few years I've had a tradition of posting fic on New Year's Eve. Not last year though, I didn't manage to finish anything in time, was actually stuck with every single WIP in my folders which was both frustrating and disappointing because I had only posted ONE fic that whole year and felt like I'd totally let fandom down. *sighs*

I haven't really done much more this year, but still I posted one long fic, three shorter literary fanfic I wrote for uni and some drabbles. BUT... I think I might manage my New Year's Eve fic! It's a story that I started almost 4 years ago and actually planned to be longer but I thought, why fiddle with it for years instead of just figuring out how to wrap it up? So that's what I did. In the last two days I've written 10 pages, a little over 4000 words, which brings the whole thing to approx. 32.500 words. It even has a sexscene. Well, not according to Bill Clinton but whatever. It's silly and a bit angsty and a little touchy about some subjects but I rather like it. And am beyond thrilled that I actually managed to write so much in just two days! Me, who hasn't written fanfic in ages!

Anyway, I still have a couple of days to do some final editing and stuff but I think I can, with quite some certainty, promise you New Year's Eve fic.

I've also been trying to come up with something for a timestamp for The Doors of Time for its 5 year anniversary on February 21st. (5 years! Jesus, how time flies.) Nothing is working yet but Uni doesn't start again until January 17th so I still have some time. I just really want to do something. It might sound silly but that story means so much to me, I want to do something special for its anniversary. Even if it ends up just being something short and stupid.
