Fun with numbers, and other things.
I was uploading something on my account on Sendspace and too my astonishment saw that the pdf for The Doors of Time has been downloaded over 8700 times. Wow! I know it's been uploaded elsewhere as well (not sure why when they could just link to the original upload) so I guess I can add at least 100 downloads there, probably more, but it's easier just to count the sendspace downloads. 8700! Man, if/when it reaches 10.000 I might have to do something to celebrate. I always wanted to do a collective soundtrack so that could be fun. Or, if the muse strikes, it would be fun to do a timestamp. I haven't visited that verse in a while though. Might be hard getting back on the horse, considering it's probably run off to greener pastures, it's been so long.
Anyway, I have not left fandom even if it might seem like it. I'm actually getting ready to finally post that monster of a fic I've been working on (and off) for three years now. It's a very heavy one though. I mean, I love it, I love the characters in all their grumpy depressing glory but yeah, it is not exactly light reading. And I'm not just talking about the length, which I must admit is monstrous. Truth be told I'm quite nervous about it. Might have to stock up on liquor before I post.
winchestergirl is finishing the art work (which is plenty and amazing, just you wait and see) and we're planning to post before the end of the month. I know people are already busy with spn_j2_bigbang and stuff but hopefully there's time and space for one more. Even if it's the length of the Wall of China.
Right now though I should be starting on a novel I got an idea for the other night. Something I might be able to use for my MA thesis, I hope, since the ones I already had are all boring me to tears. This one is a bit more interesting, I hope. Also, possibly femslash...
