Went to get my B12 shot yesterday and... didn't.
Turns out I'd used up my shots (they keep them at the clinic for me) and my prescription had run out. The nurse asked if I could come back next week but at this point I was swaying and feeling like shit (funny how the minute I realised what was wrong I got like a 100 times worse, stupid brain fucking with my body) so she tried to see about getting the prescription renewed as I waited. Unfortunately it turned out it wasn't prescribed by my usual doctor but the thyroid doctor I was with last year and so the nurse had to confirm it with my doctor and he was busy and would be for some time. And I had to go to school. So we rescheduled until this morning.
So now I finally have my shot but since it's been so long it's not exactly rushing to kick in. I was planning to write until going to a talk at Uni about short stories at 3 pm but I've been sitting here now for 2 hours, mainly just staring into space and feeling my body ache. :(
Btw, I need to write a poem inspired by a passage from either 1) Metamorphoses by Ovid, 2) The Divine Comedy by Dante or 3) the Bible before Monday. I'm too lazy to go to the library for the first two and I try to avoid reading the Bible as I can. But I do have a book of the Songs of Solomon which are pretty much the only part of the Bible I like reading. Thought I'd try and see if they inspired something. Right now they're mostly inspiring me to lay my head on the table and sleep. *groans*
Well, at least it's Friday.
