Christmas break! Woohoo!!
Handed in my last assignment last night so now I'm free!
First thing I wake up to on the first day of my break? Bladder infection plus my neck is pretty much stuck in this very painful twing that just refuses to go away. Been eating painkillers and had hot compressors on and taken a really hot shower and done stretches and it's a little bit better but not much. :(
But tonight there's a party where I plan to get just drunk enough to hopefully loosen up those muscles. Hey, it worked for hubby last week when he was the same. Looking forward to seeing all my classmates again, stress free and happy. Can't get too drunk though because tomorrow is the little guy's birthday and we have a lot planned, including going to see Tintin. Eight years old! How did that happen? I swear he was this tiny little thing only yesterday. *sniffs*
Tried going to the mall today and practically ran out, it was so stuffed with people. So then we went and had hot chocolate and cake and then went to the market at the local mall which is tiny and comfortably empty most of the time. Saw a beautiful necklace that I kinda wanted but then I told myself I mainly wanted it for the beautiful color since the shape, a stone heart, was a bit too mushy for me. Still kinda want it though, the blue color was amazing...
Next thing on the agenda, figure out christmas presents. I've made the gifts every year for many years and now I've kinda run out of ideas. I've knitted everyone hats and mittens (I hate knitting socks and scarves), made coasters and recipe books and so many other things, I can't think of anything anymore. Don't think hubby realises just how much we've saved every year by giving homemade presents, he's all "We'll just buy stuff this year." Ok, us and whose bank account? *sighs*
