Ugh, I'm never cheating on my gluten-free diet again.

We had dinner together with hubby's childhood friends last night and as we were driving there I asked hubby if he'd asked what was for dinner in case we needed to bring food for me. Which he hadn't so we left it to chance and turns out it was lasagna. Apart from pizza it's pretty much the worst food I can get because it's not like I can really seperate the meat, sauce and cheese from the pasta. Not without it all looking really yucky anyway. So I told hubby I didn't want to make a fuss and I'd just eat it especially since I was starving after being at the café writing all day having only had coffee and a ricecake, so just sticking to the small portion of salad available was hardly an option.

And so I ate way too much and by the time we got home I felt horrible. And all night. And this morning when I woke up at 6:30 am. Finally managed to fall asleep again around 10 and slept until noon and thankfully felt better after that.

I did cheat once when we were up north with my aunt and uncle too. Wheat mixed meatballs with sauce that had also wheat in it. I didn't fel as bad as this although I did spend quite some time on the toilet. :(

Still feel a little out of sorts so I'm just taking it easy at home, reading BB stories and drinking home made latte.

Oh, btw, I bought a really nice coffee book. Coffee Café by Sherri Johns. Haven't tried any of them yet but a lot of them look yummy. I kinda want to bully my family to buy me a real espresso machine when I turn 40. Two years, that's plenty of time for them to save up, right? I mean, I have 8 siblings and 4 parents. Not that they'd ever be able to get together to organize anything like that but... a girl can dream, right? I just wish I could find an espresso machine in a decent dark blue colour. You know, like the dark blue colour KitchenAid uses. We have this dark blue (they call it cobalt on Amazon) theme in our kitchen which includes 1) a KitchenAid mixer we got as a wedding present from my stepdad's bridge buddies 2) beautiful refridgerator 3) KitchenAid tools 4) various jars and bottles. Unfortunately KitchenAid never made their gorgeous (but very expensive so maybe it was just as well) espresso machine in blue. But I drooled over the red one in the store for months before they sold it. And now they've stopped making it. *sighs*
