'vacation' update.
I'm now in the middle of nowhere, preparing to spend the next two days doing carpentry.
I can sneak in just enough internet time to read my email and make a small post or two, like this one.
My celphone is on obnoxiously-expensive roaming signal, when it has signal at all.
I've been feeling deeply introspective and meditative all day. I keep having vivid day dreams that are giving me some insight in to myself and certain situations I've been emotionally wrestling with. Or I'm just wandering around in a daze and falling asleep on my feet. I'm not sure which.
I'm devoid of city noises.
I'm devoid of my constant musical accompaniment.
I'm surrounded by deep dark and woodsiness.
There's snow on the ground. More snow is remaining on the ground here now after melting and trampling than Portland saw total.
My neck and upper back are really sore. I'm very glad I'll get to sleep in a bed tonight that's not a leaky air mattress.
I got one hour of sleep last night. I wonder now why I even bothered.
