Bits and pieces

  1. I have done almost nothing besides write and goof off this week. Keeping up with school, but only barely, which isn't good as I have only one class this semester.

  2. However, the writing I've been doing is some of the best I've done in a long time, though I wonder if I'm going to be able to polish off two short stories for a writing contest whose deadline is tomorrow. Not sure, yet. We'll see. I'm very happy with one passage on the new novel, and I may post it here, in the coming days.

  3. I'm in contact again with an old friend from out west. He's a great musician, and he's been working on a lot of music since the last time I spoke with him, Anyone who likes electronic music should probably take a listen. You can find his music here.

  4. The party was a lot of fun last night. Nothing exciting, very laid back. foi_nefaste, em_fish, and maidenoffirisa all made it out, as well as a friend of montrealais's who I'd never met. Thanks to everyone who was there for showing up :)

  5. I keep having these moments lately where I feel like I'm waking up after a long slumber. I had another one today, where I noticed a sky and sunset for the first time in awhile, and really felt the wind. Most of the time for the last few years, I've just sort of registered these things as facts, as information. It feels like becoming human again -- I don't know what else to compare it to.

writing, music, social life
