So I now have a wonderful new desktop computer, courtesy of that confectioner of exquisite difference engines,
rougemacabre.
It works marvellously. I started it up with something simple - Fable, which is a very fun game that teaches us that good deeds make your hair turn white.
Today I decided to try installing Final Fantasy XI on it. I worried it'd distract me from my quota of writing today, but it turns out I needn't have feared. It is currently on its eighth hour of installation, and I finished a full edit. There's an hour and a half left of updates, and my goal is to see the title screen before I go to work tomorrow.
If the Mayans had ever needed to install Final Fantasy XI, their calendar would not have ended in 2012.
