Uh, yeah -- please disregard what I said about the novel two posts back. It came to me in a flash how to repair all the problems I can see in the current version.
Will it be finished then? I don't want to make myself a liar by saying it will be. I do know that it'll be much better by then, and there's really not much reason in having you all edit a version that's going to be heavily changed.
Each revision improves my skill, and brings me closer to the core of what I'm trying to get at. The version I'm working was already publishable, but I want it to be publishable an excellent, too.
It's going quickly -- I started to edit a paper copy an hour ago, and I'm about 5% finished. Still -- at the risk of making my editors mad at me -- it may take a couple of weeks.
