I managed to maintain my physical integrity on the way home, and even managed to survive a stopover in Calgary. It was my first time flying cross-country at night in a window seat. Cities are gorgeous from above

Haha. To be honest, the cake isn't really a lie. But it arrives at the most inopportune time. It's not festive, it's forboding. Glad you enjoyed (?) the trip back home. Happy new year!

Thank you. In all honesty, I'm not sure how much wisdom and restraint I really showed, but I'm trying to grit my teeth and look back on the whole thing as a learning experience.

Actually, I really admire your fortitude. You considered the strike morally and tactically wrong, yet you were always fair to your opponents. In the end, you didn't let it drive you away from doing what you love.
