Politics

More amusing than angsty, today. First off, the Canadian poppy quarter sent sent the American military into a tizzy this year. They believed it was a secret listening device, built with nanotechnology.

Good thing they never discovered the secret of our Scratch N'Taste heroin coins The poppy coins, of course, were completely safe -- they were meant to honour the 117,000 Canadian soldiers who died in any of the wars.

Meanwhile, as montrealais is reporting, the Conservatives have been throwing tantrums when they don't get their way in the committees -- or hear a fact they don't want to hear. They're even threatening to shut down the Official Languages committee entirely.

Since the trip to committee is a stage in passing laws, I'm unclear if we could still pass legislation if the relevant committee tied to that legislation is shut down.

Writing

I expect to hit 150,000 words on this wonderfully rainy day.

I've worked out a plan for future edits, too. The next step is more heavy research, integrating new information, and then I'll go over it smoothing out and improving the language. After that, a final edit, and then it'll (hopefully!) be ready to show it.
