[There's a bit of static and some odd noises before the signal clears- hello Mayfield, Reeve's just discovered how to filter crap through the phone systems.]

[Filtered AWAY from Drones]Clever tricks this place plays. I don't mind my 'job' so much- repairing watches is pretty much child's play- but coming back to a house full of drones makes me ( Read more... )

Talents? Do you mean... just in general, sir? Some of us, I think, are just normal.

In general, miss. While having abilities beyond the norm are useful, sometimes it takes the ordinary to truly achieve the extraordinary. As it stands, I'm just normal myself.

Oh, well then I guess-- I like to perform, so I guess I'd be talented at that. Also with math and chemistry, I think.

I belong to my school's scholastic decathlon team. Would something like that be of any help?

Acting, mathematics, and chemistry are all useful things, yes. Any knowledge in the sciences can come in handy- you never know when a seemingly useless bit of trivia might be meaningful.

May I ask your name, miss?

Really? Well that's good, then! I know a lot about sciences, I think. My teachers are always-- well I've been the freaky genius girl for a long time [shy, slightly uncomfortable laugh]

Oh! Yes, of course. I'm Gabriella Montez from Albuquerque, New Mexico! What about you?

[chuckling] Oh, I understand that. I remember getting advanced into high school when I was thirteen because I wouldn't stop running experiments in the science lab. ... usually experiments that involved things blowing up or catching fire, but.

Reeve Tuesti. And I'm pretty sure you're not from Gaia, because I've never heard of where you're from- and I doubt I could ever pronounce the name of that... was that a city? Gaia, and some people thought Nibelheim was hard to pronounce.

[she's laughing a little more freely now] Blowing things up in the science lab? I once-- well, one time I actually ended up making a stink bomb in order to make sure that three things could happen at the same time. I never did get caught, though...

Gaia? Where is that? I'm from the United States, and it's not so hard to pronounce once you've heard it a lot, I promise!

What can I say? I was a teenage boy; I liked explosions. I didn't get to rebel as much in high school, but college- that was a different matter altogether.

Gaia is... from what I've noticed talking with others, it's a different planet. I'm originally from Kalm, now in Edge- the ruins of Midgar- well, what's left of Edge, anyway. I've never heard of this 'United States'- and if it was anywhere on Gaia, I'd know of it.

A different planet?

[she smiles a little]

That's not the first time that I heard that, but is it strange that it's kind of nice to know that teenaged boys are all kind of the same everywhere?

[laughter] I suppose some things never change.

It's good to have something that's a constant, I think! I wonder if all of the worlds parallel each other... What do you think, Mr. Tuesti?

[have some laughter] that's because you're biased, Wildcat. You also hang out with all the guys on the basketball team, remember?

I'm not selling myself short! I know what I'm good at...

I think you're just being real nice to me to butter me up~! [she's teasing you, Troy~] It's a smart idea!
