I wasn't looking in the bushes; I was looking at where the wiring enters the house through the foundation.

Knowing Nick, they're probably wireless transmitters. It makes them harder to detect.

The ones in my house never leave.

Wireless transmitters wouldn't fit with this kind of technology, so they'd have to make it blend in better.
