High-school hi-jinks
Fuck.
Yesterday I made a high-school mistake, and now I'm more than a little worried that it's going to mess all sorts of shit up.
Turns out, two of my female friends around here have been complaining to me about the same dude...and the stories were so similar that I never quite put 2 and 2 together...just sort of melded them in my head...
Yesterday I put it together, and was so startled and bemused that I spilled it all to one of them.
And that was a bad idea...
I don't actually think that either one is likely to cause drama between them...but, I tell ya, I'm feeling really bad about betraying trust like that, since neither of them really wanted people to know...
It just caught me entirely off guard, and my initial "WTF!!?" Turned into an awkward attempt to prevent divulging information, that just degenerated...
*grumble*
So far, I'm not overly pleased with February of 2008. It is not cooperating. Seems like everything is going wrong. Some things just *slightly,* others quite dramatically, and I'm generally just off my game.
For the gamers out there: I'm basically botching simple rolls.
Poor choices compound with bad luck, and circumstances just...conspiring...
This month has already gone pretty horribly pear-shaped.
In other news, luriddreamscape made a very amusing observation about Americans and their standard view on politics...it cracked me up, and went something like this:
"So, my shower sprung a leak, and I called the President, and she didn't do anything. So I called the plumber, and he came right away, and *he* fixed my shower! So *I* think the PLUMBER should be President!"
("she" as President comes from us watching BSG at the time, not a support for HRC...FYI)
I'm still laughing about that...
Which is good...since the only other funny thing right now is how badly I'm failing at mundane and simple tasks...
I will now have a cigarette...or maybe some food.
