I've never really talked much about the -why- as to my dropping out of the fandom for the most part. Or about why I've become more or less terrified of going to conventions. And there's a good reason for that. One of the people involved has become kind of a big deal within the fandom, and I'm worried about becoming harassed or even banned for speaking ill of him :/
It is, however, thanks to the actions of a small handful of people, that I decided that all of this, wasn't really worth it anymore. Nowadays I mostly focus on my new career and my other hobbies, that involve less obnoxious assholes.
