In some ways it looks like Horseguards Parade but for the fountains.

Ha, would love to see them do their horsey thing through the fountains! Although in weather like this the horses would probably quite like it.

Is that Somerset House?

It is! Well done, you win first prize. That place is alive with different levels and secret passageways, it's brilliant.

Well, slightly illicit clambering, perhaps. But there are no signs saying that you can't, and the gate wasn't locked!

London is unimaginably full of these secret places. As is Glasgow too though, I'd guess.

ravicurio found this one -- I only went because he'd scoped it out previously. But it was very very cool.

Fun! What set you off on it?

Ahh, well, I had to take a picture of a certain something in an interesting location for a certain community... Watch your friends-list!

Oh, brilliant! I'd wondered what you would get up to with it! I'll enjoy seeing that.

I was almost tempted to take it on the hen weekend with me, but decided that that would be foolhardy! Of course climbing 50 feet with it is entirely sensible.

It totally was. London's magic at the moment -- we walked up and down the South Bank beforehand and it was just spilling over with happy chattering people.

I know, it's one of my very favourite London places. And there's stuff to see and do, and all the tourists are happy and relaxed and there's no locals vs visitors vibe. It's just great.
