Elflady & Nursing home.
Elflady visited Regency House today and liked it. Unfortunately if she does get the room there (subject to them being able to cover her nursing needs) we can't visit her!
Why not you ask? Well on Saturday, after we had heard that they had the vacancy and she was going to check it out, we decided to take a trip there. It is way out on the other side of the city (about 6 miles there and the same back) and we got there fine. However we didn't make it back before Pirate ran out of power on his power chair. It took 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the Nursing home and 1 hour 15 minutes for him to guide the darn chair up Rumney Hill (where his power went) and home :(
Guess that means £20 plus for taxies there and back or no visits for Pirate to his mom :( Though I will admit to the fact that his older brother has offered one trip a month in his car and his sister supposedly did too (I say supposedly because the offer came via the older brother). trouble is neither of them have cars that can take a power chair so he still won't be able to go :(
