My Ode to an Artist
So, I... haven't updated this in... quite a while. Whoops. But I wanted to share this story!
Tonight, I was going through some of my Clone Saga stuff, because I was in the mood to make Ben Reilly icons. There was this one issue whose art really stood out to me as being clean, expressive, dynamic and beautifully colored.
It was also maddeningly familiar. For the life of me, though, I couldn't place the artist despite loving the artwork from the moment I first laid eyes on it.
Which should have been a clue in retrospect. It was the same reaction I had the first time I saw this guy's art, years ago. After finishing the issue, I finally went back and reached the title page. Then I saw the credit.

I had to stop reading for a second since it turns out that's kind of hard to do with tears in your eyes.
