Well hello there, it's been a while (Four days on the internet is a lifetime in the real world!) or at least it feels like it. I've really upped my training this week with over 100km cycled, 3km swam and, er, about 6-10km ran. So the running is lagging but I also threw in a couple of 'core' classes and have pretty much done nothing but sleep, eat, work and train.
Strangely after the last couple of days I felt stronger at the end of each night that I did at the start and this morning I woke up feeling good, didn't set an alarm just let the light and natural sleep pattern bring me round at about 6.30am* I've enjoyed what i've done and will make more of an effort to get back to and start new sessions in the evening.
In other news I have spent a small fortune buying a new mountain bike for the upcoming races. A
Giant Anthem X3 at a nice lil discount due to Edinburgh Bike Coops easter sale. Skipping out on the road ride tomorrow after an invite to the Edinburgh Road Club with a lady mountain biker... So no far away holidays for me, i'll be looking to pay that off over the summer.
My sister is back to the flat tomorrow to end my brief return to Bachelor status with all sorts of complaints (I imagine) to the condition of the flat, namely that it now has five bikes instead of four. That said it's good to see her recover fully from some surgery six weeks ago and maybe the end of the fixed part of the mortgage in June will enable me to move. Saw a nice place beside Stockbridge but we shall sea.
*For those that have sleeping issues, sorry! From what other people have written/said i'm lucky(?) to have a good sleep pattern at the moment. Or maybe i'm just that tired.
