Seems like some apologies are in order. If a woman in an ugly pink dress and sweater started screaming and throwing cats at you, that was me. Sorry--I can control the compulsion somewhat, but if I fight it for too long, it starts to hurt.

And Sniper--I've got a lot more cats following me now. Like, a lot more. So once I get home, we'll be ( Read more... )

Ah. I suppose that answers my question.

I cannot say that I approve of this cavalier treatment of animals, however. To whom do the cats belong?

They've been following me since this morning--I don't know where they came from. And trust me, if it were my choice I'd hardly be throwing them at people.

Perhaps I could urge a little more attempt at restraint? Had I not caught this one he might very well have been injured.

It actually hurts when I don't throw them. And I'm only putting up with the pain for so long.

Regardless. You have a choice in the matter. The cats do not.

she would ignore it, or maybe throw a cat at him felinemystique October 17 2008, 23:38:04 UTC
...you think I had a choice about waking up in these clothes and being compelled to scream and throw cats at people?

They come back to me after being thrown, so I doubt it actually hurts them. On the other hand, not throwing them does hurt me. I fight it as long as I can, but in the end, it's not really much of a decision.

Not going to work means not getting paid, and I can't afford that.

May I suggest that people might pay you to stay at home rather than be subjected to live animal missiles while going about their business.

Seeing as you're the only one so far who doesn't drop it after having been told that it's a compulsion and ignoring it causes me pain? I doubt it.

Anyway, it's almost time for me to go home, so this problem is about to solve itself. I'll still have to deal with all these cats in my house, but that's another issue.

Yeah, No. Pain Doesn't Wash With Him. He Has Issues. XD extantlaw October 18 2008, 00:35:52 UTC
I can see no reason not to ask.

Unless you plan to feed them on fresh air, I suggest that you will have to request donations as it is.

We're not going to agree on this, Justice, and it's time for me to leave. I'm getting the cats some food and then I'm going home and hoping this wears off before it's time for me to go back to work.

It's Mutual XD extantlaw October 18 2008, 02:13:32 UTC
In that case, allow me to join you in that hope.

If you should need assistance in providing for the cats, then I'm sure that you will find people willing.

I already have, actually. A few people have asked to take some off my hands, and since I know they'll take care of them, I agreed.
