Amorous kitty, anyone?
Hi everyone! I'm new here. I just adopted a 1 year-old neutered male cat from the local shelter. I haven't named him yet. He's a sweetheart. He follows me everywhere, loves to put his head on some part of me whenever he can. He isn't marking or doing anything like that, but this cat is freaky horny!
It only happens when I'm lying in bed, he'll curl up on me and sometimes out-of-nowhere (sometimes I'm petting him and he's kneading, but other times I'm not touching him) he'll get this crazy look in his eyes, start howling, and then he'll a) either try to bite the scruff of my neck or b) start shaking and stain my bedding.
Last night when he went for my neck, he responded well to a "NO!" and moved a foot away and curled up not touching me, but I'd love to be able to cuddle up with him without worrying that a sudden movement might turn him into Captain Orgasmo, you know?
I'm taking him to the vet tonight for a cough anyway. I'll ask her and then report back, but if anyone has any tips that have worked for you, I'd love them.

ETA: The vet at first thought, based on my description, that it might be a seizure, until she saw his penis for herself and realized that he probably wasn't completely neutered. His urine smells like an intact cat, he still has spines on his penis and he still has a scrotum. It is likely he has a testicle in his abdomen. I have to go chase down his records and see if we can determine if the shelter didn't complete the job, if not, according to my paperwork, then they have to finish it since the adoption fee included the neutering.
Also, I decided to name him Bukowski after the poet. It fits: he's a beautiful soul beneath the tattered and perverse edges.
