(11) Would You Go With Me?

Sep 05, 2008 19:58

[The video feed comes on and shows Oliver's shirt for a moment before he sits down at the piano and immediatly begins to play. When he's done, he grins up at the camera.]

Right, then, now that I 'ave your attention (and have finished warming up), I've got another set of requests to play. Er.

Michio, I'm saving your Elvis for my first chance to play with the new radio focus thing Melissa and Naruto and I have been working on. But it's coming, I mean it. Er.

Al, Kamui, Naruto, Ginia, everyone else, if you see a dog wandering around, a border collie/german shepherd mix, Angelo's th' name, so...er. We're looking for her.

Right! Th' requests. For...various reasons don't hate me, guys I've decided to take up Dr. Faust on his request. So, er. A few songs to play.

[His ears lower and he flushes, just a little, then swallows]

Er. So...I'll play a few, then. If you have a request, make it, I'll add it into the set if I can manage. Er.

I'll start with some Disney songs, a couple, and then I'll move on to some more...er. Pop songs and such. Er. I jumped around when I made my list using what I could remember, so...there's a lot of stuff that's not here because I wasn't sure how it went or whatever.

Er.

Well. Dr. Faust and...others...enjoy.

Heh. This first one, though, goes out to a lot of folks, I think, not just th' good Doctor. Those who know it will get the joke, I'm sure.

[He looks down, then closes his eyes and starts to play several songs.

He looks up and smiles.]

Now I'll just be jumping around a bit. Again, if there's anything you want t' hear, let me know...oh...and if there's someone special to send it to, let me know. I can do that, too, I suppose.

Oh, yeah. For those who en't in the loop, these are love songs. So...yeah. I'll be here for a while. Oh, I'll attach the text file with standing requests, like usual, and if you got something else for me t' add, let me know, won't you? It's not an exceptionally long list, and the people I've been playing for are growing in number, you know...I'm always open to requests, so drop me a line.

[He fiddled with the PCD for a moment, and then grinned. Closing his eyes again, he starts to play more songs.

[Invisible unless someone is poking around a little//Difficult Hack]

Just curious how deep into these things others have gotten. I saw that clown using proxies and jumping his signal all over the network, and I'm not sure I can get it to track as well as his, but I think I might be able to manage something decent for myself.

I can't get into the kernel or anything, though, the thing keeps powering down on me or kicking me out. I think I've managed to create a ghost drive that uses network memory, not just my PCD's memory, but I can't get it secured, so it's not all that useful, though unless you're looking for it, you probably won't notice it.

God, Wyatt'd call me an idiot for having troubles like this, I'm sure, but I'm pretty much stuck. I haven't found anything at all since I was a girl, and so I was wondering if anyone else has managed something more. Not sure how into this most people 'round here are, but I think there are some who should have managed something more. If you're willing to talk, I guess.

They keep talking about probing this world and figuring out all the physics of what's going on and such, but, well...everyone wakes up around one of these things, right? There's always one there, but I have never stumbled over one walking around. I thought maybe figuring out how they work might be useful. So if you want to sit down with me, we can try something, I guess.
