03_07_1992Summary: Chuck gets a rude awaking but its Bryce left feeling annoyed in the end.
Chuck bolted straight up when a loud bang filled the room. Looking blearily around the room he tired to find the source of the noise. Another series of bangs told him it wasn’t coming from inside his room. It was also apparent that Bryce was no longer in the room.
Tossing the blankets back Chuck crawled out of bed. Rubbing at his eyes he looked at the ceiling wondering what the hell was going on.
Wolf whistles drew him back to the real world. Standing in the middle of the room he’d walked into Chuck realized two things. The small common area of the dorm was full of people and he was standing in his boxers.
Colouring Chuck bolted back into the bedroom slamming the door shut. Throwing clothes on he winced when the pounding started up again. It almost sounded like hammering. Either way his headache was not impressed.
The door to the room opened to reveal Bryce. “You decent?”
“Shut up. Either come in and shut the door or screw off.”
Bryce shut the door, “What’s wrong?” Chuck wasn’t usually so short with him.
Sighing Chuck dropped to the bed, “Nothing, sorry. Rude awaking and a wicked headache.”
He jumped when a loud screech filled the room followed by rapid pounding. Groaning he fell back on the bed, “What the hell is going on?”
“You forgot about the roofers didn’t you? There’s been messages posted everywhere for the past month. Not to mention the emails and announcements.”
“Right, fuck I don’t need this right now. Was studying most of the night, I want sleep.”
“I know you were studying. I went to sleep in a cold bed remember?”
Chuck snorted, “You were playing Zork for most of the night.”
“Riiight, well got to have some fun when your boyfriends to busy to play.”
“Bite me.”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Bryce sat behind Chuck on the bed but instead of biting him Bryce started massaging the other man’s scalp. Chuck moaned and stretched into the movement.
“That almost makes being woken up worth it.”
Bryce chuckled and moved towards Chuck’s mouth, “What else would make it worth while?”
Chuck was across the room before Bryce could abort his movement - he landed face first on the bed. “Cheeseballs.”
Groaning Bryce rolled onto his back so he was no longer resting on his face. “You suck.”
“Maybe later,” Chuck shut the door when he left.

03_07_1992Summary: Christmas at the Buy More lacks holiday cheer.
Any holiday cheer Bryce Larkin had managed to scrape together deserted him the moment he stepped foot in the Burbank Buy More. The entire store was garishly dressed in ribbons of red and green and tinsel was thrown haphazardly over shelves making finding an item a chore. He could also see the two idiots usually at the Nerd Herd desk doing something unseemly but the over decorated plastic tree.
Bryce sighed and straightened his shoulders, making a beeline for the Nerd Herd desk.
The desk appeared to be unmanned when he reached it. Instead of ringing the bell Bryce leaned over the desk itself. Sure enough someone was jammed underneath it.
“What are you doing down there?”
“Hiding.”
“I can see that Chuck but why?”
Chuck Bartowski popped up from behind the desk. “No reason.” Bryce didn’t say anything. “Okay, fine a stupid reason.”
“And that reason is…” Bryce saw Morgan moving towards them, if Chuck didn’t spill, he most certainly would.
Chuck was pointing towards the ceiling when he looked back. Following his finger Bryce found mistletoe. Why would Chuck be hiding from mistletoe? Unless someone was trying to make him eat it but then Casey would be around. “You’re hiding from mistletoe?” Bryce chuckled.
“No, he’s hiding from the people who keep kissing him and those that try to,” Morgan leaned against the desk.
“Excuse me?” One eyebrow rose.
“Yeah, he’s totally getting more action than the rest of us combined.”
Chuck spoke quietly through clenched teeth, “Morgan shut up.”
Morgan didn’t listen, “You should see it man, no matter how many times he takes it down there’s always another one there. I think all the staff’s gotten a kiss in at least once.” It was only after he’d finished that Morgan noticed how cross Bryce looked.
“I swear all I’ve been doing is dodging people. I can’t even get any work done.” Chuck spoke quickly as Bryce moved around the desk.
“I believe you Chuck,” Bryce continued invading Chuck’s bubble of space. People around the store where starting to gawk at the pair.
Without warning Bryce pulled Chuck into a kiss by his tie. By the time it was finished Chuck was panting for breath, Morgan was the same shade of red as all the ribbon and customers looked on in disappointment. There would be no further cornering of the nerd herder.
“Just as long has you remember who you belong to.”
Chuck gulped, “You got it.”
“While that was a lovely display,” a voice broke in from behind them. “Was there something you wished Mr. Larkin that did not involved public displays of indecency with my staff?”
Bryce turned to face Big Mike, “Nothing in particular.”
Bryce kissed Chuck again and made for the door, “See you at home honey.”
Chuck blinked, “Uhhh.”
Big Mike glowered while Morgan snickered. Chuck decided he hated the pair and Christmas but most of all he hated Bryce Larkin.

03_07_1992Summary: Chuck and Ellie Bartowski celebrate their first Christmas without their parents.
Eleanor “Ellie” Bartowski made her way into the room slowly afraid any sudden movements would spook the occupant. She needn’t have worried though. The boy on the bed didn’t move a muscle other than to hit ‘a’ or ‘b’ on the controller clasped tightly in his hands.
Ellie sat on the bed and spoke quietly, “Chuck, dinner’s ready. Are you going to come out and eat?”
Chuck shrugged, most of his attention still on the video game. Ellie sighed and reached out to take the controller. Chuck didn’t resist when she put it on the bed and gently took his hands.
“Chuck, honey I know it’s not been the best year,” she paused when Chuck snorted. “That’s it. Charles Bartowski you need to leave this room, let’s go.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Too bad,” she grabbed his arm and pulled.
Ellie heard him mutter, “What’s to celebrate?” She pulled him into a hug, ignoring his squeak of indignation.
“I’m not going anywhere Charles. I promise. Besides I think you’ll like my surprise.”
When they made it into the dining room Chuck paused. “Morgan?”
“Yeah and I didn’t even have to use the Morgan door. I was invited.”
Ellie smiled, “I thought you could use a friend you don’t have to sneak in this year.”
Morgan bounced over to them, “Mom said I have to be back before midnight but I think she’s glad to have a game free Christmas Eve. Now when do we eat?”
Shaking her head Ellie herded the teens into the living room. “Right now.”
“Your seven layer dip?”
“Yup, I thought we’d go a little none traditional this year. Have some fun.” Ellie flicked on the T.V. and D.V.D player before taking some of the pizza she’d cooked earlier.
Chuck froze when the first sounds of Tron started, “But you hate this movie.”
Smiling Ellie said, “Tonight I don’t. Merry Christmas Chuck.”
The teen smiled back at her - the entire goal of the evening. “Merry Christmas Ellie.”
