Stop My Head...

(Empire State Building : May 12, 1947) "On May Day, just after leaving her fiance, 23 year-old Evelyn McHale wrote a note...He is much better off without me...I wouldn't make a good wife for anybody, she wrote. She then crossed it out and went to the observation platform and jumped 86 floors to her death. Across the street photography student Robert Wiles heard an explosive crash. Just four minutes after Evelyn McHale's death, Wiles took the picture."

I had to post that because I just thought it was so haunting but so peaceful and beautiful and I knew that you guys would like to see it if you hadn't already. I found it on hole.com and it's fascinated me all day.

I really really need to get some sleep, I'm walking around in zombie mode at the momment because I'm so tired, but I don't understand WHY I'm so tired because I had a good nights sleep (for a nights sleep at university anyway) and have done next to nothing all day! But I'm still totally drained and it's making me feel depressed and act miserable goddamnit! I have a lecture in three quarters of an hour and I'm already falling asleep as I'm writing this, so I don't stand a hope in hell of staying awake in the lovely warm comfortable lecture theatre!

Emearly came to visit this weekend which was cool, and I got chance to finally actually see Ogworth properly for the first time despite having been at the same university as him for over a term! It was really good to see her again because I didn't really have chance to see her properly during the holidays, so we did much shopping, drinking, running to the vending machines late at night in our pyjamas and sheets, taking photos and just generally spending lots of money and having a laugh! I'm sorry I didn't see you leave, I got caught up in some work so couldn't get to you in time.

*I wish I could read Chinese or Japanese because their websites look really colourful and well made in comparison to our crap 'geoshities' sites.*

It snowed here last night which was cool, it wasn't snowing for long, but when it was it was really heavily snowing, it looked so pretty and wintery. We walked back from mojos for dinner by the side of the lake amongst some trees and at one point there was loads of lightning and the sky flashed pink with the strikes and it was just really surreal unusual weather. Although I ended up with what looked like ice cubes attached to my trousers from where they'd been dragging through the snow. hehe. It's quite bizare how a simple thing like frozen water can turn supposedly mature and grown up students into complete children chucking things at one another.

Haven't got much to say really because I haven't done all that much since Emearly left because I'm completely broke at the momment. Soooo I'll sign off now! xxx

Oly: To answer your questions, and my apologies for the delay!: If you go to http://www.villagephotos.com you can create an account with them to upload your photos onto the internet. It's quite straight forward really; just load your photos onto your computer as you normally would and then save them onto your computer like you would any other file. Connect to the internet, create a villagephoto account and then click to upload photos, browse, then select the saved photos, they'll then upload. Right click on properties on the full view of the photo and then copy the address of the picture (will end in .jpg). Log into livejournal, update, click on the rich text format and then click on the image symbol and paste the link. Then you SHOULD have your picture in your entry.

To change your picture, then find a picture that you like, save it then go to manage user pictures on livejournal and then upload the picture, it has to be a certain size so you'll need to make sure that either you or someone with the software can make your picture the right size.

Ok ... have to get to my lecture for real now, so... Signing of ....... n....no.... NOW.
