(no subject)
saturday night, brian took me out to see band marino for the second time. they rocked even harder, if that's possible. before them came some ridiculous cuban rapper by the name of "Fidel Cashflow" wtf? i find it amusing that all of the people in the pit were wearing Pure Cash Entertainment shirts (meaning they were with whatever company that was sponsoring this.. display) and that nobody else was cheering or dancing at all. luckily, once we got past that little pro-abortion rally (meaning that if you gave birth to fidel cashflow, you'd wish you'd gotten an abortion while you had the chance) leave calmer came on. they were pretty good.. i like their song "God I Wish This Wasn't Hell".. after them came The West Fifties who rocked it so hard. the lead singer has this great voice and plays a bizarre number of instruments. around 12:30, band marino took the stage and blew them all away. i had a great view this time, unlike at Will's pub, but right before they started to play, this guy brian knew from high school managed to pop up just in front of me to block my view of nathan and jonathan. i was annoyed, but when i moved to get a better view, i ended up practically in brian's lap. it was worth it. :D
i was able to sing along with some of the songs this time, which made both brian and i quite happy. ^_^ we parked at a meter, and our time would have run out before BM even started playing (because of cashflow being added at the last minute) so abe, one of the guys from the band, offered to walk me out there so i could put more quarters in the machine (i wouldn't have been able to get back in without his escort). i adore band marino. :D
we stayed up waaay later than we meant to, and i woke up the next morning with a low-grade fever that kept me feeling woozy for the rest of the day. i'm still feeling a little ugh right now, but luckily there isn't much going on since everyone is in the student union for the summer conference.
brian's gonna do something crazy tonight, but i won't say what, 'cause i want everyone to see for themselves.
